In a dramatic sweep through Kenya’s cyberspace, the government has sounded the alarm on more than 50 rogue betting websites that have been operating illegally within the country’s internet domain. These digital outlaws, lurking behind flashy interfaces and catchy domain names, have now been officially outed for running without proper authorization.

From suspicious online casinos to dubious investment platforms and questionable news outlets, the list reads like a rogues’ gallery of internet mischief. The crackdown, led by the Communications Authority of Kenya, aims to sanitise the digital streets and protect unsuspecting netizens from falling victim to scams, data breaches, and misleading content.

“This is not just a routine check; it’s a serious warning to all online operators—if you’re not playing by the rules, the game is over,” a government spokesperson said.

Kenyans have been urged to stay alert and verify the legitimacy of websites before sharing personal information or making transactions online. The public can expect even tighter digital regulations in the coming months as the government intensifies efforts to clean up the online space.

So next time you’re clicking around the internet, remember—just because it looks legit doesn’t mean it’s safe. The digital watchdogs are on patrol, and no illicit site is beyond their reach.
