Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya is staring down the barrel of justice after being hauled into court on four graft-related charges. In a dramatic courtroom twist, the fiery county boss was granted his freedom but with a heavy string of conditions attached.
He’ll remain out on a Ksh1 million bond or a Ksh500,000 cash bail, but that’s not all. The court slammed the brakes on his official duties, banning him from stepping foot into his office for 60 days.

And that’s just the beginning.
Magistrate Charles Ondieki threw the book at Natembeya, also grounding him within Kenyan borders unless he gets a green light from the court. To make things even tighter, the governor has been gagged and barred from speaking to the media or commenting publicly about the case. Oh, and any attempts to tamper with witnesses? A strict no-go zone.
The stakes just got higher for the once-unshakeable governor, as his courtroom battles threaten to overshadow his political journey.
