KILIMANI SUGAR MUMMY. What started as a calm Wednesday afternoon in the otherwise serene suburb of Kilimani turned into a full-blown soap opera complete with shouting, shoving, and a suspiciously shiny Range Rover as the central character.
Two young, flashy Nairobi men, the type whose cologne arrives five minutes before they do, found themselves in a heated physical exchange outside a posh apartment block, all because of a certain well-connected, well-endowed, and well-seasoned woman they’d both been servicing on the low.
Eyewitnesses say the drama began when one of the young men, known on the streets as “JayD the Plug,” spotted his rival, “Lexxie wa Ngong Road,” hopping out of a white Range Rover—the Range Rover he had just posted on his Instagram stories claiming it was “his baby’s birthday gift.”
Suspicious, JayD stormed the scene, demanding to know what Lexxie was doing with “his woman’s car.” Lexxie, with the calm arrogance of a man who knows he’s also being spoilt, simply replied, “Bro, did she tell you she was in Dubai? Clearly, she was in Kilimani… with me.”
The confrontation quickly escalated from words to wild swinging arms, with security guards and curious boda boda riders forming an impromptu audience. One onlooker shouted, “This is better than Netflix!” while another was overheard asking, “So sugar mummies are now double booking?”
As it turns out, the older lady at the centre of the chaos, a mystery figure locals now refer to as “Mama M-Pesa,” had allegedly been maintaining both boys for months, giving each the impression he was her exclusive boy toy. Both men had been flaunting the same car, the same phone, and (allegedly) the same pocket money to impress their online followers.
Eventually, security broke up the scuffle, and Mama M-Pesa was nowhere to be seen, probably sipping champagne in Lavington and watching the drama unfold via TikTok.
Moral of the story? In Kilimani, the Range Rover isn’t always yours. It’s just your turn.
