Businessman Abdirahman Muhumed Abdi

Businessman Abdirahman Muhumed Abdi, alias Abdi, has now been implicated in forgery and fraud involving a piece of land worth Sh300 million.

The accused person is said to have forged a title to land and is allegedly linked to land-related fraud activities. When he was arraigned in court, Abdirahman Muhumed Abdi, alias Abdi, denied the charges before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina and pleaded for lenient bond terms.

The court heard that the accused person defrauded Pansiba Limited of its parcel of land LR No. 209/10848 and LR No. 209/10849, measuring approximately 0.8000 hectares.

The court heard that the accused person willingly and happily forged a title deed for the parcel of land estimated to be worth Sh300 million as part of his city business.

The court heard that the accused person amalgamated the two parcels, which gave rise to LR No. 209/16790, and forged a certificate of title for the said parcel of land.

Additionally, the court heard that the accused person purported that the title deed was genuine and issued by the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning.

In a more comprehensive charge, the accused person forged a provisional approval dated 4th April 2006, allegedly from the Ministry of Lands, purporting it to be genuine, to defraud Pansiba Ltd of its parcel of land.

After denying the charges, the court directed that the accused person pay a bond of Sh 3 million with an alternative cash bail of Sh 2 million with the surety of the same amount.

The matter will proceed later next month for a further hearing.
