Most of the people from the Gulf and in the country have lost millions of shillings to notorious online fraudsters, namely Brighton Peter, aka Brighton Thee PL, his lover Angie B, the fake witch doctor, and other associates in recent days.
It’s because of this that Kenyans are urging the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to intervene and arrest the suspects and bring the con game to a halt.
“Brighton Peter, aka Brighton Thee PL, his lover Angie B and their accomplice need to be urgently arrested because they have defrauded hardworking Kenyans of millions of shillings through their fraud games, hence financing their high-end lifestyle; they have conned so many people,” a Nairobi-based resident said.
This is how the con artist cons victims: the fraudster mentioned above uses some scripted content on a love loyalty test where couples are tested if they are loyal to their partners. It starts with a man popping up as a witch doctor with the ability to perform miracles; his face is always covered to conceal his identity. The man’s voice is usually authoritative and combative, with a hidden agenda.
“The man pretends to be miraculous and can heal every problem and do prophecies on people’s lives. He then starts his games, and after doing his fraud-styled shows, he demands payment, and victims, mostly from abroad, send money to him , Brighton Peter, and associates. The act has led to a lot of people losing millions to the said fraudsters,” the source added.
Our investigations have further revealed that a certain Kenyan is crying for justice after he allegedly lost Sh 800,000 to the said fraudsters. The same revelation had been brought up through the truth watchdog TV channel where the said man had explained his troubled experience with the fraudsters. In total the man lost a total of Sh 1.6 million before he noticed that he was dealing with the content.
Our exposé in conjunction with the channel managed to capture the voice note of the said fake witch doctor explaining how he, Angie B, and Brighton Peter con people.
Previous Case studies shows that Brighton Peter was once arrested by the DCI after he faked that he, his wife and children were kidnapped and the abductors wanted Sh 5 million. He got millions from Kenyans. The man and the team have allegedly accumulated a lot of luxury things, and he has used fraudulent businesses to support their expensive lifestyle. They often flaunt expensive iPhones, Range Rovers, and their expensive rented apartments, all being from the products of fraud.
An investigative officer told this publication that many cases of fraud in relation to the suspects have been reported, and they will be acted upon in due time.
He warned Kenyans to shun away from the fraudsters and report more incidences involving the said conmen to the authorities
“Yes, we are aware of the conmen, and we shall be acting in due course. I urge the public to keep off their tactics and report to the authorities any incidence of the said fraud,” said the detective
