Eric Munene Mate and Mugambi Muthe appeared in court facing charges linked to an alleged land fraud involving M/S Placid View Limited.
Prosecutors state that, at an unknown place within Kenya, the two men acted with others who were not before the court to conspire to defraud the company of land known as LR 209/10991, IR 45896.

The property measures about 0.0590 hectares and sits in Imara Daima, Nairobi County. Authorities place its value at KSh 40 million.
In a separate count, the pair face a charge of forging a title deed contrary to Section 350(1) of the Penal Code.
The charge sheet states that on an unknown date and place within Kenya, the accused, together with others not before the court, intended to defraud M/S Placid View Limited by using a forged certificate of title.
The document is described as IR 45896 for LR 209/10991. It allegedly purported to be a genuine title issued by the Ministry of Lands in Nairobi, which the accused knew was false.
The case will be mentioned next week.
