Indian National accused of forging tittle deed to grab shs 600 million Karen Land
Shailesh Babubhai Mistry in Court last year.

An Indian National was last year charged with forging a title deed in order to illegally acquire a shs 600 million land in Bogani area, Karen.

Shailesh Babubhai Mistry was arraigned in court where he faced multiple counts of criminal offenses.

According to the prosecution, Shailesh Babubhai Mistry, being the director of Hells Limited, with intent to defraud Smeth Walley Limited of its land located at Bogani area, Karen Nairobi measuring 4.047 ha, valued at Ksh 600million falsely pretended that he was the genuine owner of the said land.

According to the charges, on July 14, 2022 the accused person at DCI headquarters, knowingly uttered a certificate of title deed purporting it to be genuine and signed and issued by Mohammed Billow Ibrahim, a land registrar at Nairobi Registry.

Appearing before Magistrate Robinson Ondieki, he denied the particulars of the charges.

He was released on a bond of Ksh 1 million with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 500,000.
