President William Ruto has donated KSh 2 million to the family of the late Albert Ojwang, the 26-year-old blogger whose mysterious death has sparked a national outcry. Opposition leader Raila Odinga has also contributed KSh 1 million in support of the grieving family.

In a powerful gesture of solidarity, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has gifted the family a fully furnished two-bedroom house.

Governor Wanga announced it during a solemn condolence visit to the family’s rural home, where she was received by relatives and close community members. The donations come amid growing pressure on authorities to deliver justice following Ojwang’s tragic death, which has drawn sharp criticism from rights groups and political leaders alike.

The show of support from Kenya’s top political figures reflects the national weight of the case and the deepening demand for accountability.
