Kibwezi Solar Park is now embroiled in a deadly scandal. Some corrupt ex-officials have issued EPC contracts contrary to the law. The revelations come after several other companies were implicated in fraud as key stakeholders within the security sector continue to call for action.
According to our investigations within the state agencies, Kibwezi Solar Park has not been registered to perform business or any transaction in Kenya. “This company (Kibwezi Solar Park) is not allowed to do any transactions in Kenya, it is illegally operating in the country,” said a Senior government official aware of the matter.
Collins Juma Oloo
Among key officials in the government Rada are; Sean Thomas and his accomplice Mr.Collins Juma Oloo. Documents in our possession show that two are directly associated with the company and have been behind a spate of tax evasion, and illegal operations and have also been masterminds of corruption-related deals.
According to the insider aware of the matter, rogue Sean Thomas and his accomplice have no authority or mandate to represent Kibwezi One Energy Ltd (KOEL), and they have been doing so to defraud them and expand their corrupt, dubious activities.
” We as the people aware of the matter have already warned and have urged all the players in the renewable energy sector to Exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of any contracts or representations made by this entity. Protect themselves and their business from falling victim to these fraudulent activities,” said an official aware of the matter.
The officials also warned members to report any information released by the said groups.
This comes after last year, a company lost millions after some rogue cartels posed as the company owners and defrauded unknown citizens off their cash. The case is still active in court and according to the Director of Public Communication (DPP), there is enough evidence to prosecute the suspects.
