The championship, held on August 21 and 22 at Mwai Kibaki Hall, brought together 16 top PUBG MOBILE teams for a national competition that combined gaming, technology and entertainment.
RESCUE Esports finished first, followed by RUSH Esports and No Pressure.
The results also secured places for all three teams at the upcoming PMGO Africa Regional Final, where they will compete against some of Africa’s leading PUBG MOBILE teams.
The regional competition carries a US$14,000 prize pool.
The progression of Kenyan teams from a national championship to a continental competition highlights the increasing opportunities available within the country’s esports ecosystem.
Technology and competitive gaming
The growth of esports has created a stronger connection between gaming communities and technology companies, particularly smartphone manufacturers seeking to serve an expanding generation of mobile gamers.
Infinix was the official sponsor of PMNC Kenya 2026, supporting the national competition and its participants.

The championship also brought together professional gamers, fans, gaming communities and young players interested in pursuing competitive gaming.
As esports continues to develop in Africa, national competitions such as PMNC provide players with opportunities to gain experience, build professional profiles and compete internationally.
For Kenya, the qualification of three teams for the PMGO Africa Regional Final gives the country another opportunity to demonstrate its growing strength in mobile esports.
RESCUE Esports will enter the regional stage as Kenya’s national champion, while RUSH Esports and No Pressure will also be looking to make an impact.
