Hello! Time to raise the red flag on a crisis in the making: the road leading to the Kenya KISUMU PIPELINE is in a deplorable state, and stakeholders are fed up!
This critical route hosts heavyweights like Coca-Cola, Total Energies, and key government institutions including the Kenya Air Force, NCPB, and the Ministry of Mining & Maritime, among others. Despite its importance, the road is neglected, dusty, bumpy, and barely motorable.
Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) operating at KPC have officially lodged complaints, citing the road as a major risk zone. Their trucks — loaded with highly flammable petroleum products — are getting stuck, creating serious safety concerns and business disruptions.
“This road is an embarrassment and a hazard! Our trucks are breaking down, delaying operations, and worst of all, risking lives due to the nature of our cargo.” – read one of the complaints from OMC representatives.
Kisumu County Government, this is your wake-up call! The revenue generated from this industrial zone is massive — it’s only fair that the infrastructure reflects that. Before disaster strikes, let’s fix this road. Lives, businesses, and Kisumu’s reputation are on the line!
