Kenyan preacher Rosalind Wanyeki, who fled to Canada in 2020 and established a gospel ministry in Toronto, is facing deportation alongside her two young daughters on Thursday, August 7th, after Canadian immigration authorities denied her asylum and residency applications.

Wanyeki, a well-known figure in her local faith community, has lived in Canada for five years and built a support base through her ministry. Her imminent removal has sparked concern among church members and immigration advocates, who say the deportation would tear apart a family that has already found a new sense of belonging.

Despite a last-minute legal appeal, the Canadian Border Services Agency has maintained the removal order, citing exhaustion of all legal options. Supporters continue to plead for intervention, calling for a compassionate review of the preacher’s case.
