Kansai Plascon Unveils Fan Initiative to Support Gor Mahia’s CAF Champions League Campaign

Kansai Plascon Kenya has unveiled a fan-powered fundraising initiative aimed at supporting Gor Mahia FC’s participation in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League through the sale of a special-edition paint product.

The campaign, dubbed the Wallcover K’Ogalo Edition, enables supporters to contribute directly to the club’s continental campaign, with a portion of proceeds from every purchase of the limited-edition Plascon Trade Wall Cover Emulsion earmarked for Gor Mahia’s CAF Champions League preparations.

The initiative follows Gor Mahia’s triumph in the 2025/26 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League, which secured the club a place in Africa’s premier club competition. The CAF Champions League preliminary rounds are scheduled to kick off in September.

Kansai Plascon described the campaign as a first-of-its-kind initiative in Kenya, transforming everyday consumer purchases into a practical fundraising platform for a football club while redefining the role of corporate sponsorship in sports development.

Speaking during the launch, Kansai Plascon Kenya Managing Director Enami Kota said the partnership reflects the company’s long-term commitment to both Gor Mahia and Kenyan football.

“Our partnership with Gor Mahia has always been about more than sponsorship. It is about investing in a legacy that inspires millions of Kenyans. This initiative allows supporters to celebrate the club’s achievements while directly contributing towards its future as the team prepares to fly the Kenyan flag in the CAF Champions League,” said Kota.

He added that the company believes corporate partnerships should deliver lasting value beyond brand visibility.

Gor Mahia Chairman Ambrose Rachier welcomed the initiative, describing it as a model of the kind of long-term collaboration required to build successful football institutions.

He noted that every purchase of the commemorative product would help strengthen the club’s preparations for continental competition.

“Every supporter who purchases the K’Ogalo Edition becomes part of our journey as we prepare to compete on the continental stage.”

The limited-edition packaging showcases Gor Mahia’s signature green-and-white colours, championship-themed artwork and visual elements commemorating the club’s successful 2025/26 league-winning campaign.

Branded under the theme Champions on the Pitch. Champions in Every Home”, the campaign seeks to inspire supporters to back the club beyond matchdays while reinforcing football’s role in bringing communities together.

According to Kansai Plascon, the initiative underscores its continued investment in Kenyan football and demonstrates how innovative corporate partnerships can contribute to the sustainable growth of the sport by empowering both clubs and their supporters.
