EDWIN OKONDO NYAGAGA NABBED WITH BHANG WORTH SH13M IN HIGH STAKES ROAD INTERCEPTION

A major drug trafficking operation has been thwarted after police from Oruba Police Station arrested a 32-year-old suspect, Edwin Okondo Nyagaga, in possession of bhang worth over Sh13.7 million.

The dramatic bust unfolded along the Giribe-Masara Road after a tip-off led officers to intercept a black Toyota Kluger (reg. no. KBS 517N) loaded with narcotics. Inside the vehicle, police discovered eight sacks of bhang weighing a total of 457.6 kilograms, tightly packed and ready for distribution.

To complicate detection, officers also recovered four different number plates: KBP 716H, KBT 673F, KBW 341T, and KBX 142P, suspected to be part of a concealment tactic used by the trafficker.

Okondo was taken to the Oruba Police Station alongside the vehicle and seized narcotics. He is currently in custody, undergoing formal processing as authorities prepare to arraign him in court.
