Judy Wambui Maina & Winnie Njeri Gitau Arraigned in Court
Controversial Judy Wambui Maina, a Portfolio Quality Management officer at BOA, and Winnie Njeri Gitau have been charged with Sh 7M Fraud. The two according to the charge sheet committed the offence on diverse dates between 6th December 2023 and 7 November 2024.
The court heard that Maina stole Sh 7,695,628 which got into her possession by her employment. On the contrary, the accused person Gitau is also charged acing of stealing the said money from the bank contrary to the law.
The two alledgly defrauded the famous Bank of Africa with the said money and went into hiding. They however denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina and were released on a cash bail of Sh 100,000. The Magistrate directed that the matter proceed in a fortnight for further directions
