A bizarre incident, Grave Disturbance, unfolded in Mbai Village, Baraton Location, when a 41-year-old man was caught exhuming the grave of his late wife. The case was reported to the Kiminini Police Station at 12:15 PM by the area village elder, Mr. Busolo.

Responding swiftly, officers from Kiminini Police Station, led by Station Muiruri, SPC John Onditi, and detectives from DCI Kiminini rushed to the scene, located approximately 4.5 kilometers east of the station. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Gabriel Kiplimo, a Sabaot male, had exhumed the body of his wife, Nancy Namalwa, who passed away on 15th April 2025 and was buried on 24th April 2025.

According to the suspect, he was acting on the posthumous wishes of his deceased wife, claiming she had been “haunting” him at night, urging him to ensure she was “properly interred.” Mr. Kiplimo reportedly opened the casket, adjusted the body in line with her supposed instructions, resealed the coffin, and reburied it.

The scene was processed by the authorities, and the suspect was arrested. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Kiminini, is currently handling the matter. The case is pending before the court.
