Holy Field Miyogi
Kenyan Businessman Holy Field Miyogi has been charged in court for conspiring to defraud a company Sh47 million after allegedly stealing assorted fashion retail stock items has been charged in court.
Miyogi was charged before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Margret Murage, where he denied the charges and pleaded for a lenient bond term.
According to the charge sheet, the accused person with others, not before the court, stole the said amount from Acacus Trading Kenya Limited on diverse dates between August 1, 2023, and October 30 at Wetlands in Gigiri Sub-County within Nairobi County.
In Court, the accused person, through his lawyer, urged the court to release him on bond because he was not a flight risk.
The prosecution told the court that it did not object to the accused person’s release on bond.
In the same court, the magistrate issued a warrant of arrest against three other suspects after they failed to appear in court for plea-taking.
The three Peris Kiok, Nicole Masika, and Maurine Masika did not turn up in court even after they were released on a police cash bail.
“The court released Miyogi on a Sh2 million bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh200,000 with the surety of the same amount.”
The court directed that the matter be mentioned at a later date for mention and further directions.
